Biographical Information: (Born and raised in Port Royal and Beaufort, SC; Marine Corps 1944~48 and SC National Guard; married 57 years to Sally McTeer Chaplin, with four sons: Saxby Stowe (Johnny) Chaplin, III; James (Jimmy) Chaplin; Gerald Jay Chaplin, and Joseph Michael Chaplin.) Capt Jack learned from others, was creative and developed many new techniques and technology, and he always shared his knowledge with everyone--a natural born mentor, he loved to talk and share stories. |
