Biographical Information:

Born in Birmingham, AL, Dec 30, 1930, and left this earth Feb 14, 2012. Moved to the Town of Port Royal, SC, when he was less than 1 year old, and stayed there the rest of his life. Graduated Beaufort High School in 1950, and joined the U.S. Marine Corps that Summer. Served a full tour (1 yr+) in Korea during the coldest Winter on record, and exited the USMC with the rank of Sargeant in 1955. On returning to Beaufort County, he married Martha Mae Johnson on June 12, 1955, and started a marriage that lasted over 56 years. Together they had three sons, Greg in 1957, Robert, Jr in 1958, and David in 1959. Engaged in commercial fisheries for over 55 years.

Capt Bobby learned from others, was creative and developed many new techniques and technology, and he always shared his knowledge with everyone--a natural born mentor, he loved to talk and share stories.
